This course will demonstrate yoga as a way to stretch and strengthen the wrists, neck, back, and shoulders using various stretching techniques targeting these specific areas of the body that tend to become tight and painful. Students will learn various stretching techniques to help with tension and tightness, common in massage therapists, and exercises to promote mobility, flexibility, strength, and circulation. The yoga practice will finish with a short relaxation (can be extended on student’s own time if needed) to ease the mind and body. Upon completing this one-hour practice and successfully passing the multiple-choice quiz, students will earn one NCBTMB-approved credit hour in self-care for massage license renewal. The multiple-choice quiz is not required for Yoga Alliance continuing education credit.
