My Story
I was born and raised in Germany and have been calling Western North Carolina my home for more than 20 years. I live with my husband and our two cats in Cullowhee, NC.
In 2006, I enrolled in a Yoga Teacher Training to learn more about yoga. I fell in love and started teaching immediately after completion. Ten years later, I enrolled in a 300-hour Therapeutically-Oriented Yoga Teacher Training to expand my yoga knowledge.
Yoga led me to massage and in 2009, I became a Board Certified and NC Licensed Massage Therapist. Since then, yoga and massage have been a big part of my life. I’ve traveled to India to learn more about yoga. I’ve traveled to Thailand to learn Thai Yoga Massage. Wherever I visit, I try to experience yoga and massage. To share my knowledge, I teach continuing education courses to yoga instructors and massage therapists. All courses are Yoga Alliance and NCBTMB approved.
After earning my Master’s Degree in Health Education, I began teaching Wellness and PE classes at the local University and Community College where I had started my own journey 10 years prior. I now assist in the Therapeutic Massage program and supervise student massage clinic.
Outside of yoga, massage, and teaching, I live a very active life that includes running, biking, and hiking. I love being outdoors and explore. My biggest accomplishments include a triathlon, two half marathons, hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
